Welcome to Vardhman's "Fascinating Rajasthan and Varanasi"! On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by our representative to your hotel. Relax for the rest of day. Overnight: Hotel Day 02 Delhi Combined City Tour of Delhi. Visit New Delhi, which includes the main attraction like Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi. Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi. Optional: Dances of India or explore the market & shop for special bargains! Overnight: Hotel Day 03 Delhi - Mandawa After breakfast drive down to Mandawa and check in at the hotel. Relax for the rest of day. Overnight: Hotel Day 04 Mandawa Visit Mandawa Afternoon visit Mukandgarh/Mandwa , found in 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the home of his descendants. See beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions. Mandawa castle, one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now a hotel and house of collections of armories, costumes of ancestors, canons from 1820, ancient coins, numismatic collection and many other interesting items, preserved in a museum. A walking tour of the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of the country. Overnight: Hotel Day 05 Mandawa-Bikaner This morning drive down to Bikaner and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure Overnight: Hotel Day 06 Bikaner Visit Bikaner Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. Long before this, the city was a trade center on the caravan routes from Africa and West Asia. Bikaner's dominant features are rippling sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed by a 7 kms. wall, which can be entered from 5 gates. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. Also visit Lallgarh Palace, the museum, Bhanda Sagar Jain and Deshnoke Rat temple. Overnight: Hotel Day 07 Bikaner-Jaisalmer Today you drive to the Pokharan On to Jaisalmer Then continue onward to Jaisalmer- The desert city and check into your hotel. Overnight: Hotel Day 08 Jaisalmer City tour of Jaisalmer Visit the famous forts & Havelies. Overnight: Hotel Day 09 Jaisalmer Full day at leisure. Overnight: Hotel Day 10 Jaisalmer-Jodhpur This morning drive to the Jodhpur and check into your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure Overnight: Hotel Day 11 Jodhpur City tour of Jodhpur Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble memorium built in 1899 and the Museum located in the Umaid Public gardens. Overnight: Hotel Day 12 Jodhpur-Ranakpur-Udaipur Today you drive to Udaipur enroute visit Famous Ranakpur Jain Temples - one of the biggest and the most important cluster of Jain temples in India. Nestled in the Aravalli range. On to Udaipur Then continue onward to Udaipur - Lake City and check into your hotel. Overnight: Hotel Day 13 Udaipur City tour of Udaipur Boat Cruise on Lake Pichola Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Fatehsagar Lake, Sahelion ki Bari (Queen resort for her friends) and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk Art Museum) Boat curise on Lake Pichola 4km long and 3km broad, surrounded by splendid hills, Palaces, temples bathing ghats and embankments Overnight: Hotel Day 14 Udaipur - Ajmer /Pushkar This morning drive to Pushkar and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure Overnight: Hotel Day 15 Ajmer /Pushkar Visit Pushkar Pushkar being one of the most religious places for Hindus has the atmosphere of an ancient religious town.The only temple of God Brahma is in Pushkar thus making Pushkar an important pilgrimage city for Hindus. Overnight: Hotel Day 16 Ajmer-Jaipur This morning drive to Jaipur and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure Overnight: Hotel Day 17 Jaipur City tour of Jaipur This morning you will experience the wonders of this magicial pink city, as you proceed on a tour of Amber fort. Later visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glitterning with mirrors, Maharaja's City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur. Overnight: Hotel Day 18 Jaipur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra Today you drive to the former capital city of Emperor Akbar On to Agra Your exciting day begins with a tour, starting with a visit to Fatehpur Sikri. Then continue onward to Agra and check into your hotAfter breakfast drive to Agra and transfer to hotel. Overnight: Hotel Day 19 Agra- Varanasi City tour of Agra Visit Taj Mahal, Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. Later you will visit a marble gallery - the flagship store in Agra which offers an excellant range of white marble, fashionable wear & exotic wooden articles, truly a one stop shop! Evening transfer to railway station. 2015 hrs. - Leave for Varanasi by train. Overnight: Train Day 20 Varanasi 0510 hrs. - Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Excursion to Sarnath Tour of Sarnath, the buried Buddhist city where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon, Sarnath was a renewed school of learning from 6th Century B.C. to 12th Century A.D. Visit the ruins, the stupa, the Buddhist Temple and the Museum. Overnight: Hotel Day 21 Varanasi-Delhi Boat Cruise on River Ganges Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges to see the bathing ghats and cremation site. Watching people bathing and worshipping at the ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to India. Half day city tour of Varanasi Sightseeing tour of the City visiting the Bharat Mata Temple with a big relief map of India in Marble, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Banaras Hindu University, which has an art gallery and the mosque of Moghul Emperor Aurangazeb, built on the site of an ancient Hindu Temple. Evening transfer to railway station. 2040 hrs. - Leave for Delhi by train.
